iP4.tv GmbH firstly presents it’s State of the Art DVB Solid-UI at IPTV Forum in London. The company presented a complete UI abstraction, realised based on NOKIA QT- QML, using the DVB- Stack from Ocean Blue Software in Bristol. In business association with Ocean Blue Software iP4.tv created QT- wrapper for all functions. Using these wrappers, iP4.tv’s developers are able to modify SOLID-UI in short term based on an abstract developer level or provide the source code to a customer for his own modifications.

In parallel, NOKIA Qt optimized iP4.tv’s DirectFB 2D and 3D layers for a real hardware acceleration which easily can be used for any kind of graphical effects.

iP4.tv was able to establish new business contacts and got a bigger contract completion. During the positive course of the IPTV 2012, iP4.tv GmbH already booked a new trade-show booth for the IPTV 2013, in London.

Our EVO3-XL is based on the ARM Cortex A9 SoC from Trident/Entropic with 2D/3D hardware acceleration, we show already Nokia Qt based UIs at the CES 2012.

The iP4.tv platform combines the latest hardware, software, broadcast and Internet standards. The set-top box range goes from IP only , DVB-S2, DVB-T/T2 and DVB-C receivers and full IP hybrid versions of each of the broadcast standards. iP4.tv support the leading DVB security standards such as CI+, Conax and Irdeto. By utilising the latest generation of chipset we can offer the latest in advanced features including 3D user interface and high-performance web-based applications.

On the software side, the iP4.tv platform supports the latest Internet standards in HTML, CE-HTML, MPEG4 and various DRM and streaming formats. The hybrid software platform supports HBBTV and other next generation Internet application standards.

iP4.tv had as sub-exhibitor of VideoWEB a very succeesfull AngaCable. The main direction trend of Anga was HbbTV and hybride solutions. As products, we presented the Evo3-hybride and IPonly box.

A turning requirement was a wide array of support from different media formats and DRM systems. In this area we could solve all recent  requests with our ultimate solution for Microsoft smooth streaming with MS PlayReady, Bitband with SecureMedia till HTML5 H.264 playback Demo. This enables a simple integration of popular VOD services, also as web radio and interactive live content services.

iP4.tv used the opportunity to stay in contact with a lot of European-foreign-countries cable providers to support them with our solutions.

iP4.tv had a very successful IPTV Forum this year. We were able to show at our EVO3.x  with live smooth streaming, as well as HTML5 H.264 Video streaming in the OPERA browser.

We were also able to demonstrate our new QT based UI and the Ocean Blue DVB stack running on the EVO3.x platform.
We also agreed at the IPTV Forum in London to sign in the Marlin SDK from Intertrust, this allows to widen the range of services we can support on the platform.

We also will attend the ANGA Cabel in Köln early Mai this year as well as we have assigned the IFA and the IBC.
